Because e uae a whole host of DJs which changes every month means each month is a fresh mix of styles and tunes.....
Here is a little bit abut all our fabulous DJs:
The resident "Subversion DJs"
Bas
Bas and Simon Iridium have been involved in the Subversion musical journey from the outset. They have both been instrumental in changing the musical face of the fetish scene from Hard House to Electro. Bas has taken it a step further and is introducing his own signature amalgamation of Electro, Techno and Trance. Quite a number of the tracks he plays are his own, released on his ElekktroTekk label (www.elekktrotekk.com).
Intense basslines, tough and explosive beats and insane breakdowns and buildups are characteristic of the music he plays. His energy dissipates out onto the dancefloor with every beat – never one to mix two tracks and stand back, he is constantly involved through the multitude of effects he uses. His music selection and the energy with which he plays often lends itself to the last set of the night keeping everyone asking for more down to the last minute.
Bas is a resident at Subversion, has played at the Rubber Ball on more than one occasion as well as at various other clubs nationally and internationally.
With ElekktroTekk he aims to provide a musical experience soon to include audiovisual elements (look out for the Subversion track on YouTube). It will be much more than just a label.
Si
Simon is an artist with 12 years of experience at entertaining dancefloors across the London curcuits and internationaly, with his impecable ear for music and mixing he is hard to beat. Mixing a fusion of cutting edge: House, Techno, Breaks and Phatt bass lines to extatic dance floors he skillfully whips into frienzies....
Simon has residencies at the monthly Club Subvesion events, weekly at the 333 bar and monthly at the 333 club with his co produced "Rivals" nights, plus guest slots at other parties on the london fetish scene including the Skin Two Rubber Ball
Markie Moo
Mark Rodgers aka MarkyMoo! has DJ'd and produced underground dance music since the mid 90's specialising in the Nu Skool breaks scene.
In the 90's he was A+R and label manager for London's MCL records where he spent his time managing, recording and producing many underground and upcoming new artists, while putting on some of London's seminal dance parties.
Our Guest DJs
We like to keep the music at Subversion fresh and so we regularly have guest DJs who all love playing at Subversion and bring their own brand and style to the dancefloor. If you think you have what it takes to be a guest DJ then send us a CD with your name and contact details CLEARLY MARKED ON THE CD to: Mitsress Absolute, Club Subversion, Unit4, 92-98 Vauxhall Walk, London SE11 5EL
Miles Gorfy
Photo by S.McGinty-Lowe Miles Gorfy - Having played nationally at the likes of Frantic, Sundissential and Polysexual, devoted hard house clubbers will know the name Miles Gorfy, a DJ that’s been big on the scene for over a decade. Having taken a short break, Miles has come back with some new styles and a new direction. Aiming to bring the fun factor back to the dance floor, expect big basslines, crazy samples and filthy beats for filthy minds. You’ll still here Miles playing hard dance monthly at Zoology in Brixton, but elsewhere it’s all about the house and electro. For an expanded profile, visit www.HarderFaster.net
Miss T
Miss T started her career as a DJ oh about ten yeara ago and like most DJs trying to get play time in the local pubs then progressing to do outside the local area to events in venues like u-4ria. From there it was to Northampton at club la maison, becoming a regular up there with the propa little madams, and steve stiffler (who is now a tidy dj) princess skb and the famous jack richards. Since then she has continued to keep the dancefloors heaving playing quite a few clubs up and down the country...including of course Subversion. Miss T is well known for a hard house hard trance sets with a deep bass lines.... Miss C
Miss. C is a fast talking, party planning, singing, rapping, MC and a DJ, who loves her music funky, soul-full and dirty and doesnt do serious (unless absolutley necessary?!!) Miss C had been performing for over 10 year's and in is her element entertaining others whether it be bymaking music? singing? DJing? being ridiculous? Or puttin on partys. When people ask Miss.C what sorts of music she plays? her promt response is "music that makes you shake yo arse and screw up ya face" as its so deep and dirty theres no time for chesseing it up and grinning like the Cheshire cat! This is seriously funky business where dealing with! Playing everything from house to a bit of disco, theres nothing like mixxing it up a bit! There's nothing straight forward about Miss.C execpt for the fact her musical choice is positivley banging (and not in a hard house trancy sort of way) in a get ya up no matter what time of the night (or day) it is sort of way
